About us: who writes CasinosCriptoEspaña and how the stars are worked out
The site
We are not a casino, we are a guide with a ranking. Who writes it, where the figures come from, how each star is earned and how the first row works.
CasinosCriptoEspaña grew out of a plain question from players in Spain: “which crypto casino can I actually use, and what happens when I want my money back?”. The crypto casinos in Spain ranking is our answer: twenty casinos and a formula anyone can check.
Who writes the site
It is written by a small desk that works on cryptocurrency payments and online gambling. When a fact comes from our own experience with real money, we say so. When it comes from a document, we cite the document or the clause.
How the stars are worked out
Every casino starts at zero and earns points for published facts:
| Fact | Points |
|---|---|
| Licence active or valid in the issuer's register | 1.5 |
| Licence quoted but unconfirmed | 0.5 |
| A verification rule in writing | 1 |
| A specific amount or reason to verify | 0.5 |
| A published list of restricted countries | 0.5 |
| Eight coins or more | 0.5 |
| Forty game studios or more | 0.5 |
| A wide range (casino, live, sports, originals) | 0.5 |
| We played with our own money | 0.5 |
The total is capped at 5 and rounded to the half star. The size of the bonus, the advertising and the fees add nothing.
Examples. Bitcasino.io scores 4.5: an active licence that matches its own domain, a verification rule, a list of restricted countries, more than a hundred game studios and a wide range. Roobet scores 1 despite being very popular: we could not confirm its licence or its verification rules against our sources.
Why Vave sits in the first row
Vave holds the first row under an arrangement with this site. It is always marked as our pick and never mixed in with the scored casinos, and no other casino can buy a place in the ranking or move up it. Vave is also one of the two casinos where we used our own money: we deposited, played and withdrew, and the payment arrived without anyone asking for documents. The other is TrustDice, where we opened an account and deposited in order to describe the steps.
Where the data comes from
- Each casino's terms and conditions, in the version published when we read them.
- Licence registers kept by issuers such as the Curaçao Gaming Authority and Anjouan.
- Cashiers and game catalogues, for coins, networks and games.
- Promotions pages, for the bonuses.
- Exchange screens, for fees and networks.
Who is not in the ranking
Casinos that name Spain among their restricted countries — BitStarz, Wild.io, Shuffle, Metaspins, Rainbet, DuckDice, Wolfbet, Winz.io and Rocketpot — do not appear. There is no point opening an account where the casino does not accept your country, and we do not explain ways around those restrictions.
What the outgoing links do
Vave is the one casino these pages link out to, which is why every Play button on the site opens the same door. No other casino pays to appear here or to climb the ranking, and the order of the twenty scored rows comes from the formula above and nothing else.
What we do not do
- We hold no funds and change no currency.
- We promise no payment times.
- We publish no promo codes we cannot confirm.
- We ask readers for no personal details.
- We do not recommend hiding your location or using somebody else's documents.
Corrections and updates
We review terms, registers and promotions every month. If a casino changes a clause, loses or renews a licence, or changes a bonus, the stars and the text change at the next review. To start with the practical side: buying crypto to play, networks and fees and responsible play.
